when he first comes near you, rafe is a little protective. he doesn’t know what the guy wants and is very wary of him

but you instantly recognise him from tiktok and brighten up, telling rafe he’s the guy whose tiktok’s you always show him

when he asks about your meet cute, you let rafe tell the story since he loves talking about how you first met

when the tiktok is uploaded, it goes viral.

people can’t stop obsessing about how in love rafe is with you. the way he looks at you when you interrupted him to add little bits to the story, or the way he remembered even the most simple details of that first meeting

Had John disconnected him? He knew John’s sense of humor wasn’t the lightest, especially after Newcastle drove them all a bit insane, but that felt too far even for him. Everything flashed a surge of blinding white and then was replaced by pure darkness. He thought he screamed, but he couldn’t hear his own voice. Couldn’t even feel his own thoughts. Trapped in one single instant that stretched for indeterminable eons. Then, eventually (or was it immediately?), awareness began to trickle back.

He was still in the computer, though it felt… different, somehow. His thoughts still weren’t entirely in order. The first possible hints towards his location he found were the sound voices trickling through from the outside world. Voices he didn’t recognize. Young voices.

“I’m happy to help, Tuck, but I’m not really sure what you expect me to do here. You’re way better than me at this computer stuff than me.”

“By all means, feel free to keep complimenting me, but this has been frying my brain, man. I got this thing secondhand, and the system should be quite powerful, but there’s something using up a ton of its processing and I can’t figure out what. I was hoping you could do your ‘enter into the computer’ thing and see if you see anything.”

Hey unpopular opinion but JJ dying isn't bad writing, it's just sad. It's devastating and I bawled my eyes out, and it sucks that actors not being super professional is possibly what led to this, but it does make sense character wise. Like I can't say it doesn't. And I think they did a great job writing him off, I certainly prefer him dying over being written off Alex Karev style (character assassination of the century). I'm also interested to see how this affects the group.

I don't know, it just seems to me that everytime something unfair happens in a story, there's people saying it's bad writing, but...unfair things happen all the time? That's actually a very interesting thing to explore if done right, and I feel like it was in this case.

I want to make a longer post about this someday but: I think Arya's TWOW arc is going to include her coming to terms with her identity as a Lady. This has been an ongoing conflict with her since her first chapter and I think her flowering in winds is going to mark a turning point. The theory of her having an apprenticeship with the courtesans holds a lot of weight and the idea of Arya going through puberty among a group of unconventional women she's fostered a positive relationship with is just too perfect. It would really have an impact on Arya reconciling her personal idea of what a Lady should be. There's also a lot that she could learn from them in terms of courtesies, communication, appearances, body-language, etc. that would elevate her current skill-set and ways her relationship with them could push the plot.

Not to mention she will undoubtedly reclaim her identity as Arya Stark, and her being a Lady is inseparable from that. Arya Stark is a Lady Stark and being a Lady is a social position, not a measure of how well someone preforms feminine tasks. She shouldn't have to relinquish her position because she doesn't fit patriarchal standards. That's not to say that she's ever going to be the perfect example of a traditional Lady but what I think will happen is that she becomes capable of playing the part. She plays several identities throughout the series but she's always been Arya underneath, so I think it's appropriate that she learns to adopt a "persona" that's part of her. Her remembering Ned putting on his "Lord's face" (+ the various examples of other characters being separate from their ruling persona) makes me think that Arya will be donning her "Lady's face" when she makes a return to Westeros.

I'm attempting to weave a backstory timeline in my mind for the characters, and I'm just now realizing that Kaz broke his leg and met Jesper all in the same year. Then, a few months later probably, Inej arrives in Ketterdam.

Obvious stuff if I just took more time to think about it, but I think it's really neat how their storylines all converge like that
